Thirsty Thursday

Another Autumnally inspired adult refreshment for you today on Chandelierious! Pumpkin is one of my all time favorite flavors...I crave all things pumpkin: coffee, donuts, pancakes, bread, pasta and yes, cocktails. Give this little cocktail a try:

                                                            The Pumpkin-tini

*1 part Vodka (plain or vanilla)
*1 part Pumpkin spice liqueur  (I have Hiram Walker)

Cinnamon sugar the rim of martini glass, if desired. Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake your heart out, strain and serve.

                                                                     Mmmm.......

OR...perhaps this is more to your liking:

                                                          Pumpkin Pie Martini

*1 part Pumpkin liqueur
*1/2 part coffee liqueur
*1/2 part butterscotch schnapps
*1/2 part half and half

Combine in shaker with ice, shake her up, strain and serve. Garnish with some whipped cream, if desired!

Happy cocktails!

  2. Hiram. I had a fling with a very dark and lovely guy named Hiram post marriage, he pronounced it HI room. He was kind of a freak, like ok a real freak. But I always had a bottle of Hiram in my cupboard. I too have indulged in a little splash of Hiram in a clear liqueur. I agree, although this "fall" thing is now new to me, it tis the "season" for a bit o spice! Better than the Bourbon! That can be a killer! HA HA!
